What is a CSA?
Also known as “Subscription farming” CSA is a food system in which people pay an annual payment in the beginning of the season to become members of a local farm. In exchange the farmer provides a share of weekly produce based around what items are in season and ready for harvest. CSA members share in the rewards and risks of their farmer.
A membership will include the following:
A weekly box of Back Achers Farm vegetables for 19 weeks from June until mid October.
Each CSA share is designed to feed 2 people
We NEVER use any pesticides, herbicides, GMOs or any other harmful chemicals so you can count on having tasty, fresh and healthy vegetables containing the best nutritional value.
Every weekly share contains 5-8 different crops that are in season and ready to harvest.
Each week you will receive a simple, easy to follow recipe using items from your share.
Members will also receive 10% of all Back Achers farm products that are purchased throughout the season.
We produce all of the vegetables in our CSA right here on our family farm in North Rome, PA.
Payment in full is due at time of application:
$550.00 farm pick up;
$620.00 for off farm pick up/delivery.
Delivery price is for members picking up at Hillside Park Farmers Market (Clarks Summit, PA), Broome County Regional Farmers Market (Binghamton, NY) or home deliveries in the Boroughs of Athens or Sayre PA.

The meat/egg CSA includes 4 pounds of meat and one dozen eggs a week for 4 installments of $623.00 . The meats include an assortment varying each week and with the season and availability.
*First payment- nonrefundable deposit of $623.00 due with application-
Second payment of $623.00 due June 1st
Third payment of $623.00 due September 1st
Final payment of $623.00 due December 1st
